Sumin was born in Jeonju and grew up in Gwangju, South Korea. He completed his B.S. in Chemistry & Food and Nutrition at Yonsei University in 2025. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Chemistry as a member of the Lee group. He is conducting research on ligand synthesis, transition metal catalysis and high oxidation state metal species.
In his free time, he enjoys cycling and taking photos.
