Yeonna was born in Seoul and raised in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. She earned her B.S. in Chemistry from Yonsei University in 2025. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Chemistry as a member of the Lee group. Under the guidance of Professor Sarah Yunmi Lee, she is working on the development of regio- and stereoselective allylic alkylation reactions with the use of synergistic Lewis acid–base catalysis.
Outside the lab, she enjoys spending time in cozy cafés with a good cup of coffee and dessert.
